Stomach cancer is a silent killer, and the initial symptoms are too light for anyone to suspect such a serious illness. In most cases, cancer is always diagnosed in advanced stages. Stomach cancer is very difficult to diagnose in its early stages, and like all other cancers, it is best treated at an early stage.

Several symptoms of stomach cancer is a sudden weight loss, abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, persistent headache, indigestion and heartburn, flatulence, loss of appetite, fatigue and weakness. All these symptoms are often present, and most importantly they are all the blood in the feces or vomit.
Doctor will first evaluate the patient's medical history. Then he will perform certain tests and exams to check for stomach cancer. The doctor will examine the abdomen to check for any changes that seem unusual or abnormal.

Imaging tests such as X-ray or CT scan is also performed. They will reveal the prominent mass present in the abdominal wall. Gastrointestinal series and ultrasound are also used to check if stomach cancer present.
