INTERNATIONAL GASTRC CANCER ASSOCIATION (IGCA)Prof. Sung Hoon Noh is the Chairman, Local Organizing Committee in the International Gastric Cancer Organizations (ICGA). On April 20-23, 2011, he invited people to join the 9th International Gastric Cancer Congress (IGCC). This IGCC is organized in Seoul, Korea. This congress is offer the people to join in and get an opportunity to exchange new information in the field of gastric cancer. This association founded on 29th March 1995. Their mission is to provide a forum for the research advance into the diagnosis and treatment of the gastric cancer and to promote the eradication of the gastric cancer. JAPANESE GASTRIC CANCER ASSOCIATION (JGCA)Toshimasa TSUJINAKA M.D. is the President of Japanese Gastric Cancer Association. He invited people to join the association as a member. The Japanese Research Society was set up in 1962. This society played important role for researching the gastric cancer. There are 352 leading instructions who organized a closed association in Japan. The new association is composed by individual members named as Japanese Gastric Cancer Association (JGCA) in 1997.  JGCA accepts international members to join activities. JGCA organizes many activities such as below:
  1. Japanese Gastric Cancer Congress
84th Congress held in 8th Feb to 10th Feb, 2012. It organized by Dr. Toshimasa TSUJINAKA in Osaka International Convention Centre.
  1. Publication of “ Japanese Manual of Gastric Carcinoma” by the Manual Committee
JGCA published the English 1st English edition in 1995. It also published the 14th Japanese edition in 2010.
  1. Journal publication “Gastric Cancer” by the Editorial Committee
"Gastric Cancer" is an official and international journal in English language of the JGCA and International Gastric Cancer Association (IGCA). This journal is in A4 size, 100 pages per issue. It is due to the circulation of 3,000 and later expansion up to 5,000. All the members can send manuscripts and receive the journal.
  1. Nationwide registry of gastric cancer patients by the Registration Committee
This activity was organized in 1963. Every year, almost 15,000 data of new patients were collected by using the personal computer system.
  1. Other activities
JGCA cooperate with IGCA and WHO Collaboration Centre for Gastric Cancer to promote the clinical study. All the members contribute in activities of JGCA and they also can get the information from the international organizations.

WHO (World Health Organization)
The World Health Organization (WHO) is an organization which concerns the international public health. WHO provides leadership on health and monitor the health situation. It also provides technical support and research the agenda to stimulate the generation and translation of the valuable knowledge. WHO cooperates with the other United Nations organizations to increase the commitment for the prevention of cancer and develop the strategies for controlling the cancer. Besides that, they also conduct research on the causes of cancer and generate the new knowledge to promote the prevention of cancer.  They strengthen the health system to deliver the care and cure for the patients who suffer in cancer. WHO also cooperate with Japanese Gastric Cancer Association (JGCA) and International Gastric Cancer Association (IGCA) to promote the clinical study.
Gastric Cancer Fund

The Gastric Cancer Fund is an organization held for the purpose of helping gastric cancer patients. The organization also helps to improve the lives of gastric cancer patients and to find a cure to this disease. 
The Gastric Cancer Fund has created a strong relationship with The V Foundation for Cancer Research.  Both organizations were to achieve their similar goal of fighting gastric cancer. The Gastric Cancer Fund works with The V Foundation to raise money for cancer research and will leverage The V Foundation’s infrastructure for scientific evaluation, grant management and oversight, financial administration and marketing supportAll donations are 100% tax deductible and can be made directly to The V Foundation with The Gastric Cancer Fund on the memo line.

GastroEsophageal Cancer Foundation, Inc. was found as a non-profit corporation in 2005 by a group of survivors and caregivers.
